I am writing this review as a warning to prospective tenants. My experience with Commons on 2nd has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share the nonstop issues I encountered during my residency.
First and foremost, the management's integrity is questionable at best. Despite only being one month behind on rent, they initiated a garnishment against us for two months' worth. Their audacity to attempt a second garnishment was thankfully shut down by the judge, who recognized the absurdity of their actions and dismissed the case. The level of harassment and trauma inflicted upon myself and other residents is grounds for serious legal consideration.
Furthermore, the maintenance standards are deplorable. The maintenance man not only neglected necessary repairs but also engaged in highly inappropriate behavior, including offering drugs to tenants. When I reported this misconduct to AMC, my concerns were dismissed with a dismissive "he would never do that." Additionally, the property was a haven for illegal activity, with a neighboring tenant openly dealing drugs and frequent violent altercations occurring on the premises. Despite charging tenants for repainting and re-flooring, these services are blatantly ignored upon move-in. This establishment is driven by greed and demonstrates a blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of its residents. I implore anyone considering this property to seek alternative accommodations that prioritize your peace of mind and personal safety.
